Job Description : We are currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our educational team near Galveston, Texas. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support elementary students with speech and language needs. This role involves providing direct therapy, assisting with the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs), and collaborating with teachers and parents to enhance student communication and academic success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to elementary students as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of therapy sessions and materials.
- Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals.
- Provide support in classroom activities and collaborate with teachers to integrate communication strategies.
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Maintain accurate records and follow all school and district policies.
