We are looking for a Sr. Design Program Manager to join our growing User Experience team. You will work collaboratively with designers, engineers, product management, and other program managers leading projects throughout the planning, design, and development lifecycle. As a Design Program Manager, your emphasis will be on planning and prioritization of design deliverables, resource management, schedule tracking, mitigating project risks, and collaborating with design leads to deliver innovative solutions across work streams.
Responsibilities of the role include :
Anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraintsPut repeatable processes in place that help us plan and manage multiple parallel projects and run our businessCreate, maintain, and disseminate project information to stakeholders and senior managementWorking across teams to create strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leadership teamsCommunicate project status with design team and stakeholders regularlySeek opportunities to make improvements to team efficiency and processPrimary point of contact for design, working closely with design leads and directors to proactively clarify requirements and use cases, actively seeking clarification when there is ambiguityBASIC QUALIFICATIONS - 6 years of design experience- Experience understanding needs of business and end customers and translating them into right solutions- Experience gathering and analyzing large amounts of data and delivering continuous business improvementsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (agile to waterfall)- Experience working and contributing to project playbooks, building schedules, managing issues / risks, establishing communication plans and stakeholder managementAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,500 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $192,600 / year in our highest geographic market.
