Description
SAIC is seeking a motivated and skilled Submarine Radio Room Technician whom will work effectively in a fast-paced collaborative environment at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Middletown, RI .
JOB DUTIES :
- Provides technician support and expertise to a cross-functional team.
- Provides solution recommendations to engineering and fabrication problems of moderate scope and complexity in an expeditious, efficient, and timely manner.
- Hardware fabrication and assembly of systems, cables, and wire harnesses.
- Supports engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, modification, fabrication and assembly of prototype electro mechanical systems. Applications may include electronic circuits, photonics and logic systems.
- Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform testing, checkout and trouble-shooting functions.
- Assists in determining methods or actions to remedy malfunctions. Collects, maintains, organizes, compiles, and manipulates technical data.
- Provides redlines or identifies issues with engineering documentation, reports, or drawings (sketches / flow charts / diagrams / schematics, etc.).
