What are the responsibilities and job description for the Temp, Creative Administration position at Mediabistro?
Duties :
Song deliveries. Send confirmed writer splits with corresponding release information to be properly registered in the UMPG system, societies, etc. Maintain writer MDRC sheets; adding newly delivered songs, helping to keep the sheet "live" with new & pending releases. Track the following : disputes, provisional claims, long time pending works, new releases, new signings Billboard : weekly report stating what we control of new releases, weekly publishing edits
Skills :
Past publishing internships or work history required Basic publishing knowledge; copyright, writer splits Familar with various Music Publishing organzitions surch as the PROs, MLC, HFA and their function within our business MUST be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, etc. Extremely detail-oriented Excellent organizational skills Strong ability to keep track of a high volume of data / information Ability to prioritize and grasp new concepts quickly Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Self-starter
Education :
Bachelors Degree preferred
