What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transit position at Mediabistro?
Follows a designated route and maintains a published time schedule.Essential Functions : 1. Drives assigned MetroLink Tulsa vehicle in a safe, courteous manner, following a designated route and maintains a published time schedule.
2. Monitors the collection of correct passenger fare by observance of the fare box operation and handling of various tickets and passes.
3. Exhibits competent observation and handling of various passenger or traffic emergencies using the radio system. Contacts Dispatch to provide information or request assistance for any needed supervisory, police, or fire department personnel.
4. Provides passengers with information on MetroLink Tulsa rules and regulations as necessary while providing any requested system schedule information that may be needed.
5. Completes and submits any needed written reports, including but not limited to Bus Loss Reports, information gathering forms, and operators' daily equipment report.
6. Is responsible for the safe boarding, de-boarding and restraining of wheelchairs and all ADA related issues, i.e. ADA announcements, reasonable accommodation of passengers with a disability, etc.
7. Must be able to drive all revenue vehicles.8. Must be able to perform all work assignments.9. Must report to work on a regular and timely basis.
