What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Product Designer DC position at mediaget?
As a Senior Product Designer, you will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from brainstorming the next product idea to perfecting it for launch. You will use your product design, interaction design, and visual design skill on a wide range of products with a global impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Work in the Product team to build and grow the Al Jazeera product ecosystem
Partner with Editorial, Audience Development, Brand, Business, and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, represent design, and oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch
Lead critique, design reviews, and plan design effort
Design flows and experiences that enable Editorial to deeply connect with audience
Collaborate with other leads on improving and implementing design process
Drive design vision and strategy
YOU HAVE :
A deep knowledge of product, interaction, and visual design
A strong understanding of researching and advocating on behalf of the user
Demonstrated experience in leading research projects
Ability to articulate and sell design concepts
Demonstrated experience with holistic, end-to-end (UX and UI) product design
An ability to take ownership of a product from ideation through launch
Drive to identify stumbling points for users, and find answers to difficult questions
An ability to design for multiple environments (native apps, web, etc.)
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Exceptional skill in industry tools
YOUR EXPERIENCE :
Developing and implementing Design Systems
Building and shipping products
Creating motion graphics
Writing HTML, CSS, and JS
Designing for diverse groups of people (International audiences, socioeconomic groups, regions with limited technology).
