About Us
We are a property management company, celebrating our 40th year of service , seeking an experienced, professional Lead Concierge to lead our concierge team at a high-end residential building in Boston.
This position requires a high degree of customer service skills, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to interact with a wide variety of people and situations as well as the ability to manage shifting client and site priorities, aptitude in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Word, and polished telephone and speaking skills.
*Candidates must have a valid driver's license, maintain an acceptable driving record and be able to drive a manual transmission.
The candidate must be available to work the following shift schedule:
- 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- Coverage of shifts for the team may occasionally be required if other coverage cannot be identified
- Periodic training sessions outside of the regular shift may be required
- Overtime may be required to assist with emergencies or time sensitive issues
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Duties require broad conceptual judgment, initiative and ability to deal with customer service issues and manage vendors.
- Coordination of site staff schedules and coverage, approval of timecards weekly
- Manage and supervise the concierge team to include training, coaching, mentoring and spot checking.
- Ensure security of the property and residents via proper access and monitoring protocols.
- Valet garage/lift parking of resident vehicles, training provided.
- Typical concierge duties include greeting residents and visitors, package handling, use of Yardi Concierge or other concierge software, light housekeeping, directing and supervising vendors, working cooperatively and communicating regularly with the property manager to ensure smooth site operations.
- Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods and navigate stairs multiple times during shift.
- Ability to move, lift, or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds, unassisted.
Position Requirements:
- Satisfactory criminal background and credit check
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Prior concierge and supervisory experience required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Attention to detail and organizational skills
- Must be reliable, responsible and dependable
- Ability to remain calm and respond accordingly in stressful circumstances such as maintenance emergencies
- Strong interpersonal and business communication skills
