The Opportunity :
MediaTek is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Research Scientist specializing in communication engineering with experiences of utilizing AI-assistance. As a Senior Research Scientist, you will spearhead pioneering research projects that define the future of next-generation mobile communication systems. You will work alongside a team of experienced researchers and industry-leading experts to develop innovative solutions that drive the advancement of 6G and other communication technology, ensuring MediaTek remains at the forefront of communication technology evolution.

Specific Responsibilities :
- Lead the design and development of advanced architectures, algorithms, network and systems for 6G and other wireless communication. Prefer to have knowledge in applied AI / ML tailored for wireless communication as well as in distributed computing network platforms joint with communication systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue technology and market opportunities for the next 3-10 years, and further drive strategic decisions across the industry through collaborative efforts.
- Explore the possibility of utilizing AI / ML for real-time data analysis and decision-making to enhance 6G network capabilities. Oversee R&D initiatives from feasibility studies to full-scale implementation.
- Technology pitch to buy in supports from internal stakeholders and external clients.
- Establish and manage technical specifications and project timelines.
- Forge partnerships with university research teams for joint research initiatives and long-term technology development.
Qualifications :
Educational Background : Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) or Computer Science (CS) major in communication engineering with minimum 5 years of post-degree experience.
