About the Role
We are seeking an exceptional lead researcher to manage and lead cross-functional teams for new technology development. The successful candidate will be responsible for pioneering architectures, circuits, algorithms, and systems that are ahead of academic research and may ramp to production within a few years. Focus areas include energy-efficient RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits for wireless and wireline communication systems as well as for novel computing systems.
Responsibilities
- Explore technology and market opportunities for the next 3-10 years.
- Proficient in technical pitches to attain buy-in from both internal and external customers.
- Manage and lead cross-functional teams for new technology development.
- Pioneer architectures, circuits, algorithms, and systems that are ahead of academic research and may ramp to production within a few years.
- Set and maintain detailed technical specifications and schedules.
- Hands-on research and development from feasibility to implementation of new fundamental IPs and sub-systems, test strategies, test setup, package-level integration, PCB design, and characterizations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF/analog/mixed-signal circuits and systems, and broad knowledge to exploit them toward wide applications. Experience in designing substantial parts of wireless or wireline transceivers including analog baseband circuits is also essential.
