Position Overview
We’re looking for an Audio, Visual, and Lighting Installation Technician who excels in hands-on work, confidently tackles challenges, and is eager to grow in their craft. Duties and Responsibilities
Installation & Technical Work
- Assemble, install, and troubleshoot audio, video, lighting, and control equipment
- Pull, terminate, label, and manage a variety of cables (XLR, RJ45, TRS, BNC, F-CONN, etc.)
- Ability to test & troubleshoot systems at a basic Level (Continuity & Pass/Fail Testing)
- Mount and rig displays, projectors, speakers, cameras, racks, and lighting equipment
- Test and verify system performance after installations
- Work with Site Lead to ensure projects remain on schedule and meet quality standards
- Takes direction well and assumes full responsibility for their work while seeking opportunities to identify additional tasks proactively
Equipment & Vehicles
- Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites
- Operate company vehicles safely and in accordance with company policies
- Maintain, secure, and track company tools and equipment
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to company, client, and OSHA safety standards
- Ensure high-quality installations that meet company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including job sites and vehicles
Documentation & Reporting
- Accurately report project-related time and activities
- Maintain and update project documentation (drawings, client files, notes, etc.)
- Complete all required paperwork, including time sheets and installation tickets
- Ensure Operation and Maintenance Manuals are delivered for completed projects
Team & Professional Development
- Attend project meetings and safety training sessions
- Stay updated on new AVL technologies and industry best practices
- Provide product and system training for clients and team members
- Represent the company professionally in all client interactions
- Follows through on commitments with team members, clients, and themselves
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in AVL, telecommunications, low voltage, or construction preferred
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Basic understanding of technical AV theory and drawings (signal flow, networking, navigation of line drawings, blueprints, and schematics)
- Experience with G-Suite, D-Tools, Q-SYS, Dante Controller, and Audio Architect preferred
- Ability to solder and crimp connectors

Required Licenses
- Aerial Scissors, Boom & Forklift Certified - MediaVine Provided
- Maintains a valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and the ability to be insured under the company plan
Certifications (Preferred but Not Required)
- ETCP Rigging Certification
- AVIXA CTS, Dante Level 1, QSC/Q-SYS Level 1
- OSHA General Industry Safety Training
Working Conditions
- Standing, walking, climbing ladders/lifts, and working at heights exceeding 6 feet
- Fine motor function and dexterity for small component installation
- Exposure to construction environments (dust, lack of climate control, confined spaces)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Occasional irregular or extended work hours
- Travel Expectations: 5-10%, with most job sites within a 60-mile radius of our office location
