Position: Customer Service Representative
Position Overview:
Must be knowledgeable of all equipment and supplies provided by Medic Sleep Care and uphold its standard for excellence. Responsible for competently and efficiently performing all tasks relative to dispensing medical equipment and supplies in a friendly, professional manner. Responsible for knowledge of third-party reimbursement requirements. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Balance till daily and assist with bank deposit preparation as needed.
- Answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, take customer orders, and key orders into computer as appropriate.
- Maintain open communication and confidentiality with customers and referral sources.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns.
- Assist walk-in customers with retail sales and orders, and be knowledgeable of supplies, pricing, and reimbursements.
- Obtain insurance information and verify according to company guidelines.
- Prepare appropriate documentation for billing.
- Scan documents into the system.
- Communicate with the sales team and referrals about customer needs, documentation requirements, and customer compliance.
- Key all documentation into the computer, verify all information for completeness and accuracy.
- Be familiar with the order confirmation process and follow up on necessary documentation as needed.
- Assist in maintaining inventory and presenting an organized retail area.
- Responsible for multiple branch coverage as needed.
- Responsible for attendance at in-store in-services and to attend other in-services per company or manager?s request.
- Perform other duties as deemed appropriate by management.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personality:
- Able to function as a polite and cooperative team member with a positive attitude.
- Good computer skills required.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to handle multiple tasks with numerous interruptions.
- Must have a people sensitive personality with a desire to help others.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
Physical Qualifications:
- In an average 8-hour day the employee sits 6 hours. (These hours include up to 6 hours of data entry/phone work)
