Medica will host a 12-week, paid Internship Program. Interns will have the opportunity to network within Medica and with other Interns through weekly Lunch-and-Learns and opportunities to hear from Executives. Job Description:
As an HR Intern, you will support our HR department in day-to-day operations and assist in various projects aimed at supporting our 2025 department goals and improving the employee experience. You will gain exposure to the full spectrum of HR activities. As an intern, you will:
- Participate in key projects on the Total Rewards team within Compensation, Benefits, Leaves of Absence, and more
- Create job aids, draft communications, and update HR content on the intranet for employee utilization
- Assist the Compensation team with initiatives such as data/system maintenance, updating leader documents, and drafting job descriptions
- Review HR data through surveys, reports, etc. and transform raw data into understandable and actionable information
- Assist with various HR-related projects and tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Current junior or senior pursuing a degree in Business or related field; Human Resource majors beneficial but not required
- Strong interest in HR
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness and ability to learn new systems and programs as needed
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Ability to pivot quicky and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work from the Minnetonka office, on average, 2 times per week.
