The duties that the incumbent of the vacancy will be expected to perform. Duties Description Reporting to the Manager of Agency and System Initiatives within the Bureau of Quality Control and Enterprise Projects, the Project Manager 2 oversees a portfolio of projects for the agency in order to coordinate and manage resources and ensure that project goals are successfully met. The duties of the position include, but are not limited to: • Coordinate and track projects across the agency, including workplans, preparing documents for executive staff, and preparing presentations for internal and external stakeholders• Manage implementation of agency legislation including reporting to executive staff• Process Managed Care Plan audit/investigation clearance requests• Process the Provider Investigative Report and adjust as necessary to meet contract requirements• Assist in onboarding the Managed Long Term Care plans onto the Provider Investigative Report• Track and assist with the implementation of program recommendation projects within the agency. • Assist agency staff with tracking and submitting Managed Care contract amendments. • Coordinate and manage meetings with internal and external stakeholders• Process inquiries that come into the Project Management Office, which will include both internal and external requests• Assist Quality Assurance and External Audit units in the Bureau, as needed• Other projects and duties, as assigned

This experience must include the development of project management deliverables, such as scope statements, schedules, budgets, quality plans, risk plans, and communications plans. **A Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree in a related field can substitute for one year of specialized experience. Current certification from the from the Project Management Institute as a Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) may substitute for two years of experience or a Project Management Professional (PMP) may substitute for three years of experience.Competitive Minimum Qualifications: Qualifications for transfer: Candidates must be a current employee of New York State with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent service as a Project Manager 2 OR currently employed by New York State with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent service in a title eligible to transfer under section 52.6 of the Civil Service Law. OR eligible for appointment off the current eligible exam list.
