Job Description:
The right candidate is a natural team player with a bubbly personality who enjoys working in a sleeves-rolled, hands-on fashion, doing “whatever it takes” to help the team grow and promote positive patient experiences.
Exceptional customer service skills are required to cater to patient needs and effectively handle a high volume of patient interactions concerning procedures such as rhinoplasty, injectable fillers and Botox, sinus surgery, balloon sinuplasty, sleep apnea, etc. This must be coupled with a desire to provide the unparalleled care required of concierge practices to generate referrals, engage new patients, and cultivate strong relationships with existing clientele to maintain motivated patients.
Responsibilities:
- Patient support – assist new patients and prospects by fielding inquiries, qualifying and educating patients according to established protocols, scheduling and confirming appointments and assisting in practice growth efforts. Chart filing, extensive and accurate note taking in computer system, checking in and checking out patients, insurance benefit verification, medical authorization, calling in prescriptions, and more
- Team support – accurately and efficiently taking messages and sending them to the correct team member using team platforms like Weave and Mondays. Participating in weekly team meetings and proactively taking on responsibilities during slower times to engage and educate patients, and collaborate on team projects.
- Organization – Task orientation, timely completion of assignments, and an innate desire to “get things done”. Knowledge of medical software, such as MacPractice, Nextech, Patient Now, Modernizing Medicine, or Nex Gen is preferred but not required.
- Positivity & Normalcy – we love patient care and seek a positive, sunny outlook from our winning candidate who is reasonable and has a high social EQ.
- Whatever it takes attitude with a sales focus – typical M-F schedule with normal hours, but at times more or less is needed. The winning candidate must be willing to learn new concepts and unlearn intuitive ideas that do not match the practice's structure and brand. The selected candidate will report directly to the front desk manager with growth opportunities requiring a self-motivated drive to exceed patient expectations and meet team goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
- 2-5 years of sales, customer service, or personal assistant experience – preferably in medical, plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatology, dentistry, concierge medicine field or similar. Ideal candidate would be able to demonstrate prior experience with insurance billing, although not required.
- Must be comfortable with and have an understanding of how to sell luxury items by appealing to luxury buyers.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication and presentation skills, including Exceptional telephone etiquette, active listening and note-taking skills required.
- Belief in the power of aesthetic surgery to change the lives of appropriate candidates for the better.
- Strong computer and typing skills - typing no less than 40-55 wpm - with the ability to learn proprietary software for the medical industry quickly.
- Excellent follow-up and organizational skills – a commitment to timely task completion without compromising quality is a must.
- Professionalism in dress and presentation, honesty, excellent work ethic, and positive attitude a must.
- Ability to excel individually as well as a productive member of a team.
