Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide essential support to patients in various settings, including hospitals, hospice care, and home care environments. Your primary responsibility will be to assist patients with daily living activities while ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
Duties
- Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide support during medical procedures in the Operating Room (OR) and assist in emergency medicine situations as needed.
- Help patients with mobility and physical activities to promote independence.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members regarding patient needs and changes in condition.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of physiology and patient care best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home care or hospital settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is a plus.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Ability to work effectively in a Level II Trauma Center or similar high-pressure environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Willingness to learn about hospice care practices and emergency medicine protocols.
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant is required; additional certifications related to patient care are advantageous.

Pay: $22.26 - $25.00 per hour
