Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care to adults including performing physical exams, Annual Wellness Exams, immunizations, diagnosing and treating illnesses, prescribing medications, managing chronic conditions, educating patients on health promotion, and serving as the primary point of contact for their healthcare needs, working in collaboration with a physician team.
Key responsibilities of a Family Nurse Practitioner:
· Patient assessment:
Conducting thorough physical examinations, taking medical histories, and reviewing patient records.
· Diagnosis and treatment:
Diagnosing acute and chronic illnesses, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications as needed.
· Preventative care:
Providing routine checkups, immunizations, and health screenings.
· Chronic disease management:
Monitoring and managing patients with chronic conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease.
· Patient education:
Educating patients on health conditions, medication management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
· Ordering diagnostic tests:
Ordering and interpreting lab tests, imaging studies, and other diagnostic tools to inform treatment decisions.
· Collaboration with other healthcare providers:
Consulting with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
· Referrals:
Referring patients to specialists when necessary.
Skills and qualifications required for a Family Nurse Practitioner:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license: Must be a licensed registered nurse with a valid nursing degree.
- Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) certification: Completion of a recognized Family Nurse Practitioner program and passing the national certification exam.
