Pediatric office in a multi-specialty group in need of a full time medical assistant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create a customer-friendly environment.
- Answer phones as needed.
- Prepare rooms for the day.
- Escort patients to room; prepare patients for examinations.
- Record vital signs for well visit; chart findings.
- Administer vaccinations.
- Prepare charts for upcoming patient visits with proper paperwork necessary for the visit.
- Assist doctor as needed.
- Clean and restock rooms and equipment.
- Assist as needed with securing referrals, prior authorizations and making specialist or test appointments.
- Relay messages as may be required by physicians.
- Assist at front desk as necessary with phones, filing, checking insurance
- Copy charts and reports as needed.
- Create new patient appointments and get all necessary documentation.
- Billing knowledge is a plus.
- Must be able to use EMR. If familiar with Medent, that is a plus.
- Miscellaneous as requested.
- Must be experienced
- This is a temporaray position. MA needed for 5 weeks from May 7 -June 13
