Location: Augusta, GA

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with some Saturdays from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Job Overview:

As a Pharmacy Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of prescription medications and medical supplies to patients, healthcare facilities, and clinics. You will be a key representative of our pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery Operations:

  • Plan and follow efficient delivery routes to ensure timely deliveries to patients and clinics.
  • Load, transport, and deliver medications and supplies safely.
  • Verify patient details, delivery instructions, and obtain necessary signatures or proof of receipt for deliveries.

• Compliance and Safety:

  • Follow all company policies and procedures for the secure handling and transport of medications, including controlled substances.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of all patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Conduct routine vehicle safety checks before and after each shift to ensure operational readiness.
  • Report any incidents, delays, or vehicle issues immediately to the supervisor.

• Customer Interaction:

  • Provide courteous, professional service to patients and healthcare staff during deliveries.
  • Address and resolve minor patient concerns promptly, escalating more complex issues to the pharmacy team as needed.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for Medical Associates Plus by demonstrating professionalism and empathy in every interaction.

• Record Keeping and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including mileage logs and proof-of-delivery receipts.
  • Submit daily reports to the pharmacy team for reconciliation.
  • Track and communicate any changes to scheduled deliveries in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Required:

  • A valid Georgia drivers license with a clean driving record (no recent accidents or violations).
  • Ability to lift and carry packages up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Punctual and reliable, with strong time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

• Preferred:

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver in a healthcare or pharmacy setting.
  • Familiarity with the Augusta area and surrounding regions for efficient navigation.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy policies and protocols related to the transport of medications.

Work Environment:

This role involves driving for extended periods and frequent entry/exit from the vehicle. Deliveries may include stops at residential locations, clinics, and healthcare facilities.
