Tri-State Occupational Health is looking for a Drug and Alcohol Testing Coordinator. This position is responsible for all functions related to the coordination of the drug and alcohol program while ensuring standards within DOT/FMCSA regulations are maintained. Provide education and training, as well as maintaining staff and collection facilities and proficiencies in testing. Certification in Drug/Alcohol Testing will be provided and paid for by Medical Associates.
Schedule: This is a 40 hours per week position working Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm, with the potential of 4 ten-hour shifts once trained. Some on-call after hours are required with excellent shift differential!

What you'll be doing:
- Perform Drug and Alcohol testing collections, process results in accordance with company policies and federal regulations. Assist MRO and MRO-A with all follow-up. Provide drug/alcohol collection services for wide array of companies.
- Assess and maintain accurate company profiles and necessary supplies to provide drug/alcohol collection services.
- Manage the consortium database for client needs/activities and manage computer data entry in compliance with regulatory specifications.
- Act as main resource/contact for the Drug & Alcohol Testing program. Account service responsibility from new client setup through establishing/maintaining positive client relationships. Development, coordination and delivery of training and education of clients and staff. Provides onsite supervisory training and staff training in drug/alcohol testing via Zoom meetings or onsite.
- Manage schedule and training for after-hours drug and alcohol collection services as well as providing necessary training and education of co-workers.
- Perform venipuncture, collect other lab specimens, and properly identify and label and handle lab specimens. Assist in offering onsite phlebotomy per client’s requests.
- Comply with federal and state laws in equipment, training, education, and record maintenance/QA.
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience
Education: Equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important in fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals).
Other Skills: Self-starter, strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to handle several duties simultaneously with high degree of accuracy and flexibility. Technical skills including knowledge of lab, various office equipment, and computer software programs (ie: Microsoft Office; Word/Excel/PowerPoint, EMR and DRugPak). Professional representation in interactions with clients including onsite visits and training presentations. Expectation of achieving certifications in accordance with drug and alcohol standards.
