What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Lab Tech (MLS or MLT) - PRN position at Medical Associates?
Medical Associates Clinic is hiring a PRN Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our Laboratory department!
Schedule: Minimum of 2 shifts per month, primarily weekday coverage but some evening and weekend coverage as needed. All evening and weekend shifts qualify for excellent shift differential!
What You Will Be Doing:
- Perform technical laboratory functions in microbiology, diagnostic immunology, chemistry, hematology and immunohematology.
- Perform instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
- Report laboratory test results.
- Perform venipuncture, arterial and capillary punctures; collect other laboratory specimens; and properly identify and label specimens.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Qualifications You Have:
Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience. Experience preferred, but not required.
Education: MLT or MLS certification (or equivalent) required. Completion of two-year college degree or bachelor’s degree through an accredited Medical Laboratory Technology/Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) program that included an internship with a hospital or in a clinical laboratory setting.
