Medical Associates Clinic is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospital Medicine team located in our Dubuque, Iowa location.

Schedule: Full-time days, working a rotating schedule 7 days on Mon-Sun 7a-5 and 7 days off, 5 days on Mon-Fri 12-7p, 2 days off.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provide direct medical care in the hospital skilled unit under the direction of supervising physicians; including but not limited to: obtaining histories, physical exams, ordering and interpreting appropriate lab and x-ray studies, and consulting with physician on treatment plan. Provide patient education to promote wellness and support disease management process.
- Assist with physician overflow patients from other hospital areas which may include medical, surgical, cardiac and intensive care unit.
- Assist physicians with Emergency Room admissions as needed.
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills:
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience. Primary care experience preferred.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree. Must be a licensed ARNP.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
