Medical Associates is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team!
Position Details:
- Administer treatment program per treatment plan; clarify treatment instructions to patients and their families; confer with responsible physical therapist regarding patients' response to treatment plan; confer with other medical staff on pertinent issues related to patient care.
- Utilize support personnel in direct patient care and related activities in order to maintain quality of services delivered at the highest productivity.
- Maintain current and accurate patient documentation; review charts and reports regarding patient progress; discuss patient progress and plan of care with the responsible physical therapist.
- Bill for patient related care according to established procedures. Comply with Clinic policy and procedures, care protocols and utilization.
- Educate patients and families in proper care and use of various support and exercise programs.
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Schedule: Monday-Thursday between the hours of 7:00am-6:00pm, Friday hours are between 7:00am -- 5:00pm. 40 hours per week

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience: From three months to one year of similar or related experience.
Education: Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree. Must be a licensed PTA.
Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
