Medical Associates Health Plans is hiring a Sales Operations Manager to join our Sales Team! This position will be responsible for managing the sales and account management operations, tools and technology, and other related activities to support our growth and retention goals.
Where You Will Be Working:
Medical Associates Clinic and Health Plans is a multi-specialty group practice combined with a growing health insurance company. Our 1,100 healthcare and health insurance professionals lead the way in providing quality healthcare and top-notch insurance products in Northeast Iowa, Southwest Wisconsin, and Northwest Illinois. This position is onsite and located at the Medical Associates Health Plans in Dubuque, Iowa.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
· Sales and Account Management - Design, implement, and execute sales tools, processes, and functions that support the team to meet sales and retention goals. Participate in the development of sales and retention goals, review data to determine ideal geographies for sales and target customers and support the team in product development to ensure MAHP’s health plan offerings are market competitive/leading. Create standard sales reporting, develop an annual calendar for sales activities, manage off-site conferences, meetings, and other sales support activities. Administer the broker appointments and contracts as well as renewals within the Broker database.
· Tools and Technology – Lead for sales and account management tools and technology including serving as the Salesforce Administrator. Manage the contracts and relationships with the vendors used to support sales and account management.
· Manage hiring selection, training, development, performance evaluations, and performance issues for direct reports. Provides oversight of the day-to-day activities and ensures appropriate levels of staffing. Implement changes to effect continual improvement in services provided and ensure a high level of quality is consistent with organizational standards.
· Collaborate across MAHP to ensure seamless operations within the sales and account management teams. Including partnering with marketing and others to develop necessary sales materials, determine annual sales material budget, participate in product and benefit meetings, develop and maintain member related materials, and any other sales material needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Five years of similar or related experience, including experience with Salesforce and understanding of the process and cycle of health plan sales.
Education Equivalent to a college degree.
Interpersonal Skills The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Other Skills Must be comfortable advancing use of tools and technology as well as using data to make decisions. Having a broad understanding of the health care system and the levers used in selling and retaining health plan customers.
