Medical Billing and collections
The medical billing representative performs a variety of tasks including answering phones, insurance verification, sending statements, appeals, and follow up on past due accounts.
Job Qualifications:
- least 1-2 year's experience in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of Medical Billing: 1 year (preferred)
- Good organizational skills and an orientation to detail is required.
- Must be comfortable with repetitive tasks including sending statements out daily.
Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to problem-solve in a timely professional manner.
- Ability to withstand varying job pressures, organize/prioritize related jobs tasks, and excellent attention to detail.
- Knowledge of networks, IPA's, HMO's, PPO's
Job Duties:
- Receives and resolves patient/Insurance calls concerning billing questions.
- Perform timely follow-up through direct phone calls, provider claims websites, correspondence, appeals, etc.
- When working an account-by-account basis, determines if payer needs additional information.
- Identify patterns, trends, and root-causes in collection workflow.
- Processing of mail.
This is a full-time position with a required commitment of 40 hours per week. This position is considered “at-will” and should not be considered a contracted or guaranteed position.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
