What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paramedic, Occasional Status position at Medical Center Enterprise?
The Paramedic participates in the provision of patient care based on appropriate training and acuity of patient care needs. The Paramedic performs patient care within scope of practice as defined by State and National levels as well as Enterprise Hospital approved skills and competencies. The Paramedic ensures a safe, comfortable, therapeutic environment for patients and families and collaborates with the care team in contribution to quality outcomes. This position will also perform other duties related to the provision of care as assigned under the general supervision of a registered nurse with documentation of proper competency, skills evaluation, and/or certification requirement. The Paramedic reports to the ED Director and ED Leadership Team as well as the CN/Clinical Supervisor on duty. The ED Medical Director should validate competency skills for the Paramedic.
