What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistant Med-Surg/Telemetry position at Medical Center Health System?
Med-Surg/Telemetry is located on 4 Central and is an area of the hospital where special machines are used to help staff closely monitor patients. Patients are under continuous electronic monitoring while on a telemetry unit. This automatically communicates measurements (heart rate, heart rhythm, breathing and more) to a monitoring station for a medical professional to view and evaluate .
Job Summary:
Assists professional nursing staff by performing specific resident care tasks, within the scope of practice from Certified Nursing Assistant.
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent. The Nursing Assistant will be listed with the Texas Department of Health Nurse Aid Registry.
Training & Experience :
1. BLS through the American Heart Association required within 90 days of hire.
