What are the responsibilities and job description for the C.T. Tech Non-Reg position at Medical Center Hospital?
Position Summary:
Performs technical aspects of CT that ultimately lead to completed procedures with complete clinical history. Operates equipment in a filmless environment, administering medical x-rays on injured and/or sick patients as directed by physicians following accepted protocols and policies. Checks the technical aspects of exams to determine the exactness of position and technique, assists radiologists as needed, prepares study for interpretation, and provides quality patient care.
A. Education:
Must be certified by the state of Texas, Certified Medical Technologist (CMT) and registry eligible with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT). ARRT must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire or transfer to position.
B. Training and Experience:
A minimum of two years x-ray experience is preferred. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required within 90 days of date of hire.
