What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Analyst position at Medical Center Hospital?
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Quality Analyst assists the Director of Quality & Patient Safety in collecting, monitoring, and reporting data used to evaluate quality of care and performance of selected clinical indictors. The Analyst will perform focused reviews, supporting clinical and medical staff on a daily basis to maintain documentation compliance to core measure activities. The Quality Analyst will, as requested provide additional focused reviews and reports for various departmental meetings. The analyst will serve on data-related project teams and committees.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related field required.
Training and Experience:
Prefer at lease 5 years in clinical nursing. Management experience preferred. Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and some knowledge of PowerPoint required.
Job Knowledge:
Should be familiar with hospital organization. Should have an understanding of policies and procedures, broad clinical nursing background, and able to communicate effectively, professionally, verbally, and in writing.
