What are the responsibilities and job description for the Echo Tech (PRN) position at Medical Center SE Texas Port Arthur?
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general supervision of the Department Director and Cath Lab Manager, the Echo Tech provides general cardiology services to patients as assigned in accordance with established Departmental and Hospital standards of care.

1. High School graduate or equivalent.
2. Minimum of one year experience in cardiovascular ultrasound, previous experience in stress testing, PVR's, EKG's, able to perform duties with minimal supervision.
3. Successful completion of course in echocardiography or carotid ultrasound; basic arrhythmia course or equivalent experience.
4. Certification per unit specific competency (i.e. BLS, CPI, etc.).
5. Certification or registry in cardiac ultrasound preferred.
