What are the responsibilities and job description for the OR Patient Care Tech position at Medical Center SE Texas Port Arthur?
POSITION SUMMARY :
Under the general supervision of the nurse Manager of Surgical Services, the OR patient care tech is responsible for maintaining the environment in the Operating Room Suites and support areas to promote maximum cleanliness both aseptically and anesthetically and for assisting in the safe transport of patients to the Operating Room suites. OR patient care tech is also responsible for utilizing equipment with maximum efficiency and effectiveness under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy setting.

1. High School Graduate or equivalent.
2. Previous clinical experience in Operating Room environment and Endoscopy desired.
3. Current verification of competency in Basic Life Support (BLS) - Healthcare Provider Course.
