About the Role:
- Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Oversee instrument and equipment set-up for ORs, utilizing preference cards and anticipating surgeons' needs
- Coordinate and oversee rooms during cases as the circulator
- Facilitate smooth transitions between procedures
- Utilize proper body mechanics when moving patients
- Manage patient care and medication, including assistance with anesthesia
- Review charts for completeness before and after procedures, adhering to documentation protocols
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an OR setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Active RN license and valid BCLS certification
- ACLS certification required by facility; CNOR certification preferred
