The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our team at Medical City Ambulatory Surgery Center. As an OR Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing safe and effective nursing care to patients during surgical procedures
- Overseeing the set-up of instruments and equipment for surgeries
- Circulating in the operating room during cases and ensuring a smooth transition between procedures
- Managing patient medications and care, including assistance with anesthesia
- Reviewing charts for completeness prior to and after surgical procedures
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an operating room setting, preferably in an ambulatory surgery center
- Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure
- Valid BCLS Certification upon employment
- ACLS as required by facility
- CNOR certification preferred
