Job Description
As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Your primary responsibilities will include quickly accessing and prioritizing incoming patients, performing comprehensive nursing assessments, stabilizing patients, and providing direct nursing care and supervision to non-licensed nursing staff within your scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must possess current licensure as a Registered Nurse (ASN) from the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners, compact license accepted. BSN preferred and required within 24 months of hire into RN position. You must also have current BLS- Healthcare Provider issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross, minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting, one year ED experience required, CEN and/or CPEN preferred, PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date, Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date, TNCC/ENPC required within 18 months, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, or Satori Alternatives Manag Aggr must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
