Job Summary and Qualifications
The cardiovascular technician who assists with invasive cardiac and peripheral procedures as to adherence to aseptic and sterile technique. Functions with established philosophy, providing and assisting with patient care for pediatric and adult congenital heart patients. Provides clinical training for entry-level technicians and assists in their development.
What will you do in this role :
In this role, the technician will assist in care to pediatric and adult congenital patient populations. Responsibilities include monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data for diagnostic, interventional cath, and electrophysiological procedures. Acting as a scrub technician for interventional and electrophysiology procedures. Monitoring and recording patient's condition continuously during a procedure on MacLab / CardioLab system; assisting with maintenance of equipment and supply inventory; obtaining supplies for individual cases, and ensuring all appropriate needs of the Cath Lab team are met. Must have a working knowledge of the Cardiac Cath Lab, monitoring equipment, and experience in assisting various types of interventional procedures.
