Job Summary And Qualifications
Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the pediatric acute and critically ill patient. The RN in the Super Pool will organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the plan of care. This plan will be individualized, family centered, and holistic. The RN in the Super Pool will participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement. The RN in the Super Pool will maintain high-quality age specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent and young adult population. The RN in the Super Pool will support the mission, vision and values of the organization.

What Qualifications You Will Need
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Tier 1: Must be able to work in 6D, 6N, 6NW, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients), NICU Level II
- Tier 2: Must be able to work in PICU, CICU, NICU Level IV, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, 6NW, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients).
- 2 years of critical care type experience required with competency to float to others within Tier 2.
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Current AHA or ARC BLS provider.
- Effective 8/1/2015 AHA or ARC PALS required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Effective 8/1/2015 American Academy of Pediatrics NRP required within 6 months of hire or transfer
- CCRN, CPEN, RNC-NIC, CPHON, and BMTCN preferred
