Job Summary and Qualifications
The CT Technologist performs quality diagnostic procedures in an accurate and timely fashion. Operates CT and X-ray equipment and processes images as required. Prepares the CT room, equipment, supplies, and medication as indicated for the procedure/exam being performed. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams and ensures direct reports and other staff members follow the same precautions. Maintains a safe environment for patients, co-workers, and visitors. Supports and helps achieve departmental and hospital goals. Provides services to all age groups (infant to geriatric).
- You will compassionately assist and position patients on the CT table.
- You will start IVs for contrast injection and when necessary.
- You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.
- You will release customers with proper post-procedure instructions.
- You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment.
- You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- MRT State Licensure (TMB)
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)(R)(CT)
- One year of CT experience preferred.
