Job Summary And Qualifications

Our Pharmacists are responsible providing general clinical and operational pharmacy services. The commitment to service, safety and professionalism is critical to achieving the best experience for our patients. What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy computer system.
• You will accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals.
• You will monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose.
• You will suggest appropriate, cost-effective therapeutic medication alternatives to medical staff.
• You will sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing non-formulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and promote rational drug therapy selection.
• You will assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership.
• You will complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
• You will provide oversight of staff schedules.
  
  

What qualifications will you need in this role:

• Completion of Bachelor's Degree or PharmD from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
• Residency (PGY1)
• Must be Board certified pharmacotherapy specialist
• Current pharmacist license in good standing with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS),Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification
• High School Diploma/GED
• MUST HAVE NICU EXPERIENCE.
