Neonatal ICU RNs care for premature babies or babies who develop medical complications during or after delivery and require a higher level of specialized care than a typical hospital nursery. Job Summary And Qualifications

What you will do in this role:
- You will perform comprehensive nursing assessmentsregardingthe health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.
- You will plan,implementand evaluate patient care plans tooptimizeoutcomes and maximize available resources.
- You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN’s scope of practice andin accordance withestablished policies.
- You will provide education and emotional supporttopremature infants through 2 years of age, culture, condition, and circumstance andincorporate patient/family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.
- At least 2 years of RN NICU experience is required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- NTD Cardiac Stable Module must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- STABLE must be obtained within 18 months of employment start date
- Registered Nurse in the state of Texas or compact state license
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date
- Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
