Job Title: CT Technologist Weekend
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate CT Technologist to join our team at Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals. This is a full-time weekend shift position, working Friday to Sunday from 7pm to 7am.
Overview:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals, providing high-quality patient care and imaging services. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using ionizing radiation in accordance with professional and departmental standards.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of all CAT Scan exam protocols for specific exams
- Must be willing to work both CT and X-Ray
- Be in charge of exam preparations and patient instructions
- Utilize radiation protection methods consistently and use shielding as necessary
- Obtain patient history and collaborate with the Radiologist on proper contrast usage
- Be responsible for the post processing of data
- Assist the physician as necessary for all invasive procedures to provide the best patient care
- Assist during codes
- Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training per ARRT
- TX State Registered Radiologic Technician
- Registered with ARRT and Texas (MRT)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, BLS, issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
