What are the responsibilities and job description for the Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist position at Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals?
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologist to join our team at Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals. This is a full-time weekend shift position, working Friday to Sunday from 7pm to 7am.
Job Overview:
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals, providing high-quality patient care and imaging services. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine and specialized imaging procedures using magnetic resonance technology in accordance with professional and departmental standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate knowledge of all MRI exam protocols for specific exams
- Must be willing to work both MRI and CT modalities
- Be in charge of exam preparations and patient instructions
- Utilize radiation protection methods consistently and use shielding as necessary
- Obtain patient history and collaborate with the Radiologist on proper contrast usage
- Be responsible for the post processing of data
- Assist the physician as necessary for all invasive procedures to provide the best patient care
- Assist during codes
- Turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean/sterilize equipment
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent Military Radiologic Technologist training per ARRT
- TX State Registered Radiologic Technician
- Registered with ARRT and Texas (MRT)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support, BLS, issued by the American Red Cross or the American Heart Association
- Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
