Job Summary and Qualifications

Independently manages all office functions. Answers phones and greets all customers and facilitates appropriate communication/action. Provides direction to and keeps all customers informed of actions taking place. Prepares schedule book and coordinates all appointments. Prepares and maintains organized patient files and prepares and facilitates patient correspondence. Prepares charge forms, enters patient charges and assists with patient statistics/outcomes tracking. Assists with and facilitates communications throughout admitting and pre-certification processes. Coordinates and assists with tracking of insurance certifications and re-certifications. Provides other clerical functions to assure and efficient, organized department. Assists in other Imaging Service areas as necessary to promote efficient clinical operations. Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the general office area. Assists medical staff when necessary. Ensures adequate coverage of all shifts. Observes and counsels employees regarding performance, conduct and attendance. Maintains the supplies to a minimum. Ensures that reports are filed within 24 hours. Assists in QIP program.

What qualifications you will need:

• At least 5 years of general office work and some supervisory experience required
• Must have telephone experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Medical background
• Ability to interact with patients
