We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality patient-centered care in our NICU and Pedi department.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic tests, administer respiratory therapies, and monitor patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Administering oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assisting with placement of artificial airways and initiating, monitoring, and maintaining mechanical ventilation.
- Notifying providers and intervening as necessary in unexpected responses.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Care program recognized by the NBRC.
- Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- BLS certification from an approved HCA vendor.
- Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications from an approved HCA vendor (within 6 months of hire date).
- RRT registration from the National Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.
- At least one year of experience in Respiratory Care, with training completed in NICU and/or Pediatrics.
