Medical City Lewisville Respiratory Therapist Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Medical City Lewisville, a comprehensive medical facility.
The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with departmental requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and respiratory status.
- Administering oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy as needed.
- Monitoring patients receiving invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.
- Assisting with placement of artificial airways and initiating, monitoring, and maintaining mechanical ventilation.
- Transporting ventilator-dependent patients and responding to emergent situations.
Requirements:
- Degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.
- Texas licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
- BLS certification from an approved vendor.
- ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications within six months of hire date.
- RRT registration from the National Board of Respiratory Care Practitioners.
- One year experience in Respiratory Care and training in NICU and/or Pediatrics.
- Clinically proficient in respiratory care, demonstrating knowledge of patient developmental needs.
