SUMMARY:
The Organizational Development Specialist plans, develops, implements and administers development and
training programs for clinic departments and employees. The Organizational Development Specialist also
acts as liaison and advisor to the organization's leadership and facilitates training and development initiatives
across the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities
- Directs the needs assessment for training and development to enhance the effectiveness of performance in achieving the goals and objectives of the Clinic.
- Identifies and incorporates best practices and lessons learned into program plans.
- Support and assist development and maintenance of HR training programs for management and employees.
- Develops learning activities, audio-visual materials, instructor guides and lesson plans utilizing and leveraging the Clinic’s learning management system (Traincaster).
- Establish, review, and report on evaluations of training courses, objectives, and accomplishments.
- Makes assessments of effectiveness of training in terms of department/employee accomplishments and performance.
- Assist/develop orientation training (new employee, new manager etc).
- Consults with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters. Conducts needs assessments to determine measures required to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
Specific Areas of Responsibilities
1. Assume leadership role/responsibility on the Safety Committee
2. Assist with establishing and provisioning, log in training for new users on the Clinic’s Electronic Medical Records System (EPIC)
BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:
Education, Experience, and Knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in organizational development, training and development or education
- 2 years of training experience, in a healthcare setting.
- Experience designing and implementing effective training and development programs utilizing a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Traincaster (LMS) experience is preferred.
Skills and Abilities
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
· Strong presentation skills.
· Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.
· Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
