- Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing medical services in the general care and treatment of patients in the Clinic and at the hospital(s); diagnoses and treats illnesses or diseases of the patients; instructs patients in their proper care and treatment alternatives; instructs staff as needed; informs and educates the patients; provides appropriate emotional support; makes referrals for specialized treatment; follows up on progress.
- Responsible for seeing any patient presented to the doctor through Clinics central scheduling/patient distribution coordinator, through any Partner-physician, or at any time while on call for another Clinic physician.
- Standards
- Thoroughly evaluates and manages each patient appropriately.
- Demonstrates excellent interpretive skills of test results.
- Demonstrates excellent procedural skills and appropriate use of procedures and testing.
- Understands and is responsive to patients needs and concerns.
- Interacts with patients in a caring, sensitive manner.
- Receives minimal number of patient complaints. Receives positive patient satisfaction surveys.
- Demonstrates excellent diagnostic skills and identifies relevant medical issues accurately.
- Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited School of Medicine, U.S. residency trained.
- Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Texas.
- Board certified in internal medicine and in area of specialty, if applicable, (must be board certified/eligible upon date of hire and must become board certified within first twelve months of employment).
