Assistant/Associate Professor - Family Medicine
CLINICIAN EDUCATOR PATHWAY - MEDICAL COLLEGE OF WISCONSIN DEPARTMENT OF FAMILY AND COMMUNITY MEDICINE
The Assistant/Associate Professor and clinical faculty member in the Department of Family Medicine and Community Medicine will provide service to both inpatient and outpatient services and participate in inpatient call. This is a teaching position and will involve teaching and advising residents and medical students.

- Provide full scope of family medicine care to both inpatients and outpatients
- Precept residents on both the inpatient and outpatient services
- Provide call and weekend rounding
- Additional teaching responsibilities with residents and medical students
- Engage in scholarly activities as per ACGME requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Chair or Chair-designate at local site

Position Requirements:
Required:
- MD or DO (foreign medical equivalent) with competency in obstetrical management
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Graduation from an accredited residency program.
- Task/Project Management - Able to independently manage assigned projects and tasks to accurately complete them within budget and by the due date with high customer satisfaction. Able to work independently and ask for technical assistance only when needed. Able to identify, estimate, and complete tasks required for the project.
- Technical Skills – Demonstrates a strong background in medical procedural skills.
- Problem Solving Skills - Able to recognize issues and determine priority. Able to quickly isolate and independently resolve issues utilizing all available resources. Able to proactively prevent issues from occurring again and to anticipate future issues. Able to stay focused on the root cause to solve problems.
- Communication Skills - Able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form to patients, colleagues and staff. Able to create comprehensive documentation for curriculum.
- Interpersonal/Customer Service Skills - Must be pleasant, courteous, and professional to patients, staff, and colleagues. Able to handle stressful situations in a calm and patient manner. Maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
