Integrated Mental & Behavioral Health (IMBH) Clinical Psychologist Consultant
The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and Children’s Wisconsin (CW), seeks a licensed psychologist to join our expanding Pediatric Psychology and Developmental Medicine Section. We are comprised of a nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care. Children’s Wisconsin launched a comprehensive focus on mental and behavioral health across the system, emphasizing the role of mental health in the overall health of children and families.
The IMBH Psychologist will be embedded in Children’s Medical Group (Children’s primary care) and will consult with behavioral health consultants (BHCs) and the primary care team. Specific duties will include:

Children’s Wisconsin and Children’s Specialty Group (CSG)
Children’s Wisconsin is the state’s only independent health care system dedicated solely to the health and well-being of children. With more than 1.3 million annual connections with kids and families statewide, Children’s provides a wide range of care and support — everything from routine care to lifesaving advances and treatment options, foster care and adoption services, child advocacy, and provides an insurance plan.
Children’s and its joint venture with the Medical College of Wisconsin
The Children’s Specialty Group has the largest providers of pediatric healthcare in the state, serving the children and families of Wisconsin with the highest level of care through their American College of Surgeons Level I Children’s Surgery Verification Center, Level I Pediatric Trauma Center, Diagnostic Imaging Center of Excellence, 72-bed Level IV NICU, Level IV Epilepsy Center, and a 72-bed PICU. In 2021-2022, CW and CSG had six specialties ranked by US News & World Report: cancer; cardiology and heart surgery; gastroenterology and GI surgery; neurology and neurosurgery; orthopedics; and pulmonology. With over 70 specialties and 675 providers, CSG providers had 220,000 outpatient visits at 13 regional care sites, 67,000 emergency department/trauma center visits, and over 9,000 admissions.

The IMBH Psychologist will be embedded in Children’s Medical Group (Children’s primary care) and will consult with behavioral health consultants (BHCs) and the primary care team. Specific duties will include:
- Conducts brief clinical assessments, diagnostic differential and screening.
- Triages patients to the appropriate care following clinical judgment or assessments.
- Partners with the clinical IBH consultation team (e.g. psychiatry, pharmacist) to advise and hold case review sessions with primary care providers and BHCs for complex cases.
- Supports BHC clinical development through didactics in partnership with the IBH clinical leaders.
- Leads or co-leads patient and parent groups
- Travels to various primary care clinics within a defined region.
- Participates in academic activities, including research and education and training of psychology and medical students.

Position Requirements:
- PhD or PsyD from an APA approved psychology program
- Completed an APA or CPS accredited pediatric psychology internship
- Licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Psychologist in the State of Wisconsin
- Experience in a pediatric medical setting (primary care preferred)
- Collaborative and engaged in working as part of an interdisciplinary team
