Campus Dean, Central Wisconsin

Medical College of Wisconsin

Wausau, Wisconsin

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) invites inquiries, nominations and applications for a strategic and dynamic leader to serve as the next Campus Dean, Central Wisconsin Campus in Wausau, Wisconsin.

The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is a leading independent, private academic health sciences institution, renowned nationwide for its contributions to academics, education, training, and research. Providing cutting-edge and collaborative patient care of the highest quality improves the health of the communities we serve. As a distinguished leader and innovator in the education and development of the next generation of physicians, scientists, pharmacists and health professionals, MCW stands out through the comprehensive graduate and undergraduate medical education programs. The MCW Central Wisconsin Campus is a regional campus that develops community-focused physicians who will meet the healthcare needs of Central Wisconsin and surrounding regions. Educational programming offered at this campus is an accelerated and focused 3-year curriculum to train primary care physicians (family medicine, pediatrics, and internal medicine), and psychiatrists who want to live and work in the region when they complete their medical education one year earlier than traditional programs. The program is community-focused, with students working side-by-side with community physicians at different health systems offering outstanding curricular activities for our learners.

With small class sizes, this role offers direct student engagement and mentorship. An exciting opportunity for an experienced educator and administrator, the position supports an innovative, community-focused medical education program emphasizing wellness and prevention. Located in a scenic area with urban amenities and year-round outdoor activities, this role drives MCW’s mission to address Wisconsin’s physician shortage and enhance medical education through interdisciplinary collaboration.
