POSITION PURPOSE
To collaborate with student, resident, fellowship and patient program directors in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology on the educational needs of the department to foster clinical teaching, educational research and compliance with ACGME/American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology residency and fellowship educational requirements and with the MCW Office of Student Affairs for student education programs. Opportunity to develop role into faculty position if starting as Instructural designer

Essential Duties
The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is the state’s only private medical school and health sciences graduate school. MCW consists of a School of Medicine with campuses in Milwaukee, Green Bay and central Wisconsin, a School of Graduate Studies, and a Pharmacy School. MCW is a major national research center ranking in the top third of U.S. medical schools in NIH funding and is the second largest research institution in Wisconsin. Education: PhD in education or related field
Experience: Five years of experience with demonstrated skills in design, implementation and evaluation of learning. Experience with learning theories preferred.

Essential Duties
- Consult, train and serve as resource for the clinical and research faculty and staff on the analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs, curriculum and modules.
- Provide and support faculty development specific to drawing on resources and principles from education, psychology, cognition, and organizational training and development.
- Collaborate with residency and student clerkship coordinators on the integration and coordination of the education programs in OBGYN such as the maintenance of databases used to track schedules, assignments/rotations; ensure program compliance with policies and regulations.
- Collaborate with faculty, fellows, residents and students on grants, publications, conference presentations and other forms of scholarship submissions on principles and best practices in education.
- Assess current educational practices in the department, design and implement competency-based curricula and evaluate educational outcomes to improve fellow and resident education and overall program engagement.
- Work with faculty, fellows, and residents to improve teaching evaluation scores using innovative educational strategies.
- In collaboration with Department leadership, develop strategic plans in preparation for credentialing and CME activities as they relate to education.
