The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team who will contribute to excellence in program administration, patient care, patient safety, research, quality improvement, and teaching. The Department of Medicine - Division of Gastroenterology is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support a multidisciplinary health care team, providing a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for the patients of the General GI Outpatient services located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at Froedtert Hospital. The APP will be expected to work in a shared practice model with one or more faculty members, as well as independently. The APP will be responsible for new and follow-up visits, in-basket management, TPN management and evaluating other acute patient issues. Monday through Friday core business hours. Scheduling flexibility required to provide for an appropriate level of patient care coverage.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing Minimum Requirements: Advanced Practice Nurse Physician Assistant Preferred Experience: Experience with gastroenterology patients in an ambulatory setting
Physician Assistant: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner
Wisconsin RN License
Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License
Adult Care or Acute Care
AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, DEA
Wisconsin Physician Assistant License
Certification by NCCPA
